What You Need to Know About Your Nissan Key Fob

To do this, remove the hidden key from the key fob and then open the battery compartment. Take out the old battery, then put a new one in its place. Assure that the positive side of your new battery is facing in the same direction as it did in the previous one. Close the battery compartment, and then, after that, return the key to its hid position inside the case.

Remote Start

Nissan remote start is a feature that allows drivers to cool or warm their vehicle from outside the vehicle, provided they are within the operating range. The ignition on the car is activated when a driver presses an appropriate button on the key fob or smartphone app. Remote start systems can also activate climate control, allowing the driver to choose their preferred temperature. Lockout Protection

Lockout protection helps eliminate annoying lockouts due to impedance relay malfunction. A special module within the power control unit is able to monitor for the activity of the impedance relay and then turns off the output. This feature is accessible on vehicles equipped with the Smart Key system, or via the personalization menu.

Many serious accidents have occurred due to a machine started up when it was supposed to be shut off for repairs or maintenance. These incidents are typically caused by energy that has not been released properly. Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) which makes sure that machines remain off until an authorized person releases them, helps prevent these incidents.

The LOTO system is comprised of a variety of locks tags, locks, and other equipment that are used to secure, isolate or block the device from electrical power. All "affected" and "authorized" personnel must be trained in the use of these lockout/tag-out devices. These devices include, but are not only restricted to chains, locks and padlocks. Each device is singularly identified and labeled, containing the date and time of its application and the name of the authorized individual and the reason for the lockout/tag-out (repair, maintenance, etc). It must be clear that these devices are not able to be removed until a thorough LOTO procedure has been completed.
